More on Racial Tension

The race for the Democratic Party nominee has incited the racial divide. If it had not been for Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the actual racial tension that still exists in America probably would have gone unnoticed by the public at large, until after the general elections. What has been exposed is the fallacy of the Democratic Party as one of racial harmony.

It is disturbing that at a time of a need for national unification as we face both a radical societal ideology declaring our extermination as well as global competition for goods and services we find ourselves immersed in such racial turmoil.

Barack Obama is the root cause of this racial divide, as a result of his naivete in that which is the spirit of America, and his study under the hateful guidance of Jeremiah Wright.

Thoughts on Current Race Relations

Reading the comments to an AP article on the Town Hall Website, about Al Sharpton's statement that he will "shut down the city" as a result of the decision to acquit the police officers in the shooting death of Sean Bell, was both revealing and unexpected.  The animosity in the comments for Rev. Sharpton was overwhelming.

Given the anger and disgust for the good Rev. Al Sharpton's declaration that he will "shut down the city," made a very bold statement as to the greater state of current race relations.  Ever since Barack Obama made his "eloquent" speech about race, following the questioning of his association with his racist pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, racial tensions appear to have escalated.  Sen. Obama campaigned as the "messiah" that would heal the divides in racial America.  It appears that all he has done is to inflame passions not seen since the sixties.

Way to go Barack, ya done good. You transcended something, something called normal race relations. Thanks to Obama, Sharpton and Wright, it'll be a "hot time in the ol' town tonight."

The Man Who Would be President

Barack Obama is running for the office of President of the United States, the highest office of the worlds most powerful nation.   His personal associations should be of the utmost importance in judging this man for that office.

Sen. Obama has a knack for dismissing the actions of those with whom he has associated, as unreflective of his own character.  It is not acceptable to simply dismiss the actions of former Weather Underground leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn as a University professors when you understand just who and what the "Weathermen" were. It is most worthy of note when evaluating the "judgment" of a man who believes he should be the next President of the United States.

Indeed, from his racist pastor to his position on "small town" America and his dismissal of the relevance of his association with a man with a truly demonstrated domestic terrorist and anti-American past, is grounds for speculation as to whether Obama may be "radical" himself. What sympathy might he share then with our most radical enemy, Fascist Islam?

The point has to do with those with whom he associates and who and what Barack Obama is. His associations give rise to questions of character, judgment and trust. This is where the focus must now turn in the vetting of this man.

Dismissing the words and actions of his associates as questionable or inappropriate is not enough. What is the real heart and soul of this man, Barack Obama, a man quite close to assuming the duties of commander in chief of this nation? Where does he place the United States in his global aspirations of power?  Not too much to ask given the enormity of the office he seeks one would think.

Stuck on Stupid

For some reason, John McCain has decided that he needs to wrest the center of controversy from the embattled Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and shine the spotlight of stupid squarely on his waning chances to become the next President of the United States.

John McCain, in spite of his irreverence for conservatives, almost had it in the bag. Hill and Obama, duking it out in front of God and everybody, much to the detriment of their chances of convincing voters of their leadership ability, put McCain at an advantage.

But Good ol' John, that Maverick son-of-a-gun, just can't help but tick off the very constituency he will need to "close the deal" in November. From meddling in local politics in North Carolina to pouring more salt in the Hurricane Katrina wound of perceived conservative ineptness, he is just about to close the door on his chances of winning the presidency.

So you go John, be that Maverick but don't be surprised on that first Tuesday in November when you find yourself Veal cutlets.

A Personal Thought

I wish I could be as confident as some with regard to how the electorate will respond to the almost inevitability that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee for president. Evaluating the full court press by the mainstream liberal media for Obama and its ability to overpower the opposition of the new media alternative, it is unclear just what fly-over Americans really know about the Messiah.

The campaign to trample the Bush presidency into the mud, to blame the president for every stubbed toe and strip him of credit for any success has been effective. Most likely, the majority of the voting public, the majority that has neither the time nor the inclination to spend a lot of time analyzing partisan politics, will gravitate to the scam of “hope and change” that has been perpetrated upon them. They will reap the consequences of the socialistic constraints of their decision.

Americans are not a losing lot however, we sometimes learn our lessons the hard way but once learned, we do not forget. Should Barack Obama in fact become the next president of the United States, it will most likely be the last time a Democrat will occupy the White House in the lifetimes of many.

The Pennsylvania Debate

There has long been a cry from those of us on the right about "media bias."  Our position has been that the "hard questions" were only asked of conservatives or Republicans.

There was a very good reason why all the Democratic candidates for president "boycotted" Fox News and why both those on the left as well as those in the media now excoriate ABC. Under no circumstances must the public ever become aware of anything beyond their talking points.

Charlie and George disobeyed the prime directive: "Never, ever, confuse the public with the facts."  As a result of their bungling however, those whose minds still function outside the propaganda of the press will now re-evaluate their opinions of Barack Obama.

It may never be known if the brave new front displayed by Mr. Gibson and Mr. Stephanopoulos was pure of motive or partisan in nature but one can only hope that the rest of the media gets a clue.  It's the news stupid, not a political arena for agenda driven journalism.

A Scary Thought

Looking beyond the now raging controversy of Sen. Obama's ill-worded reasoning of what drives small town "bitterness," something more fundamental may be at work here.

I really wonder if Barak Obama believed in the beginning that he would be the front-runner for the Democratic Party.  Had the media not given him superstar status out of the box and had his junior status and obvious inexperience been more adequately vetted, the Dems may well have had their nominee months earlier. Now, the nomination of Barak Obama as the Democratic nominee for president is all but certain.

Evaluating the tone of those who apologize or defend the questionable statements and positions that have begun to trip up Obama, it would follow that they will rationalize any gaffe by the senator to justify their intentions to vote for him.  That is a powerful following.

Barak Obama is not who or what he wants us to believe he is.  He is an elitist liberal that believes he and the government, not you, are better qualified to know what is best for how you live your life.  Lethargic Republicans had better wake up to the fact that he will be the next President of the United States unless they snap out of their funk.

On O'Reilly and "Fighting for America"

After reading Bill O'Reilly's latest post on TownHall, "Fighting for America," I was struck by a statement near the end of the article.  The Article began as a reflection on Phil Donahue and his latest appearance on the Hannity and Colmes show, in which he discussed his anti-war documentary.  The attention turned from Mr. Donahue to Barak Obama, his position on the war and the relevance to Donahue's perspective as well as that of Moveon.org financier, George Soros.

The statement that most caught my attention was:
"It would be unfair to link Obama's foreign policy vision to that of Donahue and Soros because we simply don't know what the senator's overall worldview is."

My reaction is that Soros is deeply involved in Moveon(General "Betrayus").org and good ol' moveon is raising a lot of money for Barak Obama. Strike one I would think. Then there is his association with Jeremiah Wright, an association whose fallout is not truly known because of his media umbrella but one could surmise, strike two. Finally, there is his "friendly" acquaintance with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn formerly with the domestic terror organization the Weather Underground. Most would consider this head held down, dragging the bat back to the dugout time.

We know that Obama has consistently derided the war in Iraq, would talk to Ahmadinejad unconditionally and wants to bring our troops out of Iraq on a timetable that our enemies can take to the bank. From his choice to not wear a U.S. Flag lapel pin to not holding his hand over his heart during the National Anthem, that which is the senator’s overall worldview seems rather clear.

We The People

We currently face an increasing threat to our economy by extortion from the oil cartel. We can't even consider harnessing our own natural resources for fear of upsetting the habitat of obscure species, whose impact on the grand scale of the survival of our planet is equally obscure.

Those of us in the real world are required to provide a cost benefit analysis of the impact of our proposed projects. It is about damn time that we the people demand the same from those in Congress who seem determined to place our economic welfare below the questionable survivability prognosis of a species whose numbers have doubled over the last few decades.

The greater agenda of the "global warming" hoax is not entirely clear but you can bet, that any agenda that has as its core objective, the reduction of our standard of living and blocking opportunities to reduce our dependence on foreign nations through unsubstantiated fear, needs to be challenged.

I know, I jest; our society has long since been that of "We The People."

The War, Petraeus and the Media

The media has been "all a twitter" over the latest uptick in violence in Iraq as a prelude to the visit to Congress by Gen. Petraeus. To think that this, regardless of whatever progress the general may report will not be focus is to be in serious self denial. As for the Dems politicizing his visit, it will be a major campaign event as the media hangs on every "hard line question" from the ranking party.

The irony is that President Bush is not going to significantly withdraw troops between now and when he leaves office. The next president is going to be in a position to have to make decisions based on the reality of the situation on the ground. Given this reality, the Dems had better be very careful in the type of incendiary rhetoric they spew, it could come back to hit them in the face.

Thoughts on Progress in Iraq

4th and Goal?
The sad truth is, we have no clue as to the real situation in Iraq. Who is winning? Al-Maliki or al-Sadr? Depends really on what publication you choose as your source of information.

What a wonderful way to conduct military operations. We have our service men and women on the field, the partisan fans in their living rooms, many rooting for our team to lose and the corrupt media officials who make their calls for reasons of politics.

We could be on the threshold of successfully completing our objectives in Iraq but we will never know. Our troops are facing 4th and goal. The media is still reviewing instant replays from the first half.

Thoughts on Barak Obama

What was old is new again

The only thing I can say, is that because of the controversy that has grown out of the association of a candidate for president and his long time association with a pastor of obvious racial animosity, the lid of a "kindler gentler" racial harmony in this nation has been blown off the pot.

Barak Obama made the case that we are all Americans, not ethnic labels or factions. His association with Reverend Wright and the exposure of the underlying caldron of resentment still lingering in the black community has cancelled his lofty preaching.

Had it not been for this revelation, I strongly believe that Barak Obama may well have been our next president. Because of it, all that will become of Mr. Obama's run is the sad truth that we still have a lot of work to do.
