The sad truth is, we have no clue as to the real situation in Iraq. Who is winning? Al-Maliki or al-Sadr? Depends really on what publication you choose as your source of information.
What a wonderful way to conduct military operations. We have our service men and women on the field, the partisan fans in their living rooms, many rooting for our team to lose and the corrupt media officials who make their calls for reasons of politics.
We could be on the threshold of successfully completing our objectives in Iraq but we will never know. Our troops are facing 4th and goal. The media is still reviewing instant replays from the first half.
