Looking beyond the now raging controversy of Sen. Obama's ill-worded reasoning of what drives small town "bitterness," something more fundamental may be at work here.
I really wonder if Barak Obama believed in the beginning that he would be the front-runner for the Democratic Party. Had the media not given him superstar status out of the box and had his junior status and obvious inexperience been more adequately vetted, the Dems may well have had their nominee months earlier. Now, the nomination of Barak Obama as the Democratic nominee for president is all but certain.
Evaluating the tone of those who apologize or defend the questionable statements and positions that have begun to trip up Obama, it would follow that they will rationalize any gaffe by the senator to justify their intentions to vote for him. That is a powerful following.
Barak Obama is not who or what he wants us to believe he is. He is an elitist liberal that believes he and the government, not you, are better qualified to know what is best for how you live your life. Lethargic Republicans had better wake up to the fact that he will be the next President of the United States unless they snap out of their funk.
