The Fourth Branch of Government

In spite of his apologists, Barack Obama has now been exposed as someone with zero credibility to assume the position of the President of the United States.

His gaffes, untruths, fabrications and disastrous foreign policy positions however, will go unnoticed by the public at large, unnoticed because those who turn to the MSM as their political source, will be unaware of any of this. Not to mention the voracity of his apologists in the MoveOn cult.

The word that comes to mind is Oligarchy, defined as: A government or state in which a few people or a family rule. The few in this case is the media and the uber liberal left who are promoting Barack Obama, in spite of his absolute incompetence for the job he seeks.

The consequences of that potentiality is not a negative reflection on Sen. Obama, it is a clear reflection of the degree to which the electorate in this nation have allowed themselves to become the "media malleable."

Congratulations people, you have now elevated the media and political activists to the rank of elected office. Do enjoy the influence you have now granted them over your personal lives.

No Escape from the Stress of the Obama Express

There is, unfortunately, a large segment of the voting public that will either not learn of Sen. Obama's true policies, positions and politics, because they only get their news and information from the MSM or are just so riddled with Bush Derangement Syndrome, no facts will dissuade their intentions.  Now that is a fair and balanced diet for you.

What is unnerving, is that the Dem Proletariat, have got to know that their boy Barry is a probable disaster waiting to happen, both in terms of his exposure at the national level and the "true rookie" mistakes he is likely to make should he become president.  Yet, they flock to this walking contradiction in action and deed.

It has been speculated that this is in fact what the Dems have up their sleeve, a guy in the front office that is so green, they can pull his strings with impunity.

Regardless of the circumstance, a politically power crazed Obama or a politically power crazed Democrat Party with a figure head for a leader, should the Dems win as is projected in November, $4.00/gal gas will look like the good ol' days.

As for the people, they will be forced to take the bus, relegated to the back of Obama's ride, to be jettisoned at the first sign of dissatisfaction with the boy wonder or his presidential mandates.

Congress, Oil and Economics 101

Those of us who were required to take at least the requisite courses in economics, are well acquainted with the first law of that subject, supply and demand.

I propose that in light of the fact that Congress has no intention of allowing an increase in supply by exploiting the abundant resources within our own borders, we engage in establishing another law to offset the first law they intentionally eschew.

The new law would be to address the economic reality that has befallen every American as a result of the idiotic refusal of Congress to allow oil companies to "buy American."

The title for this new law of economics is simple, it states: "Demand the Supply."

The premise of this new law is equally simple: Continued political interference to the demand of obtaining the domestic supply of oil will create a resultant energy force specific to create the kinetic power required to boot their butts out of office.

I recommend we apply the letter of the law starting today.

The Battle for the Presidency

If you are a conservative or Republican, there are two ways to look at the probability that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee for president.

On one hand, he has the huge advantage of "Bush Derangement Syndrome" working for him.  Add to that the overall frustration with the execution of the war in Iraq, a struggling economy and the just plain sense that people believe it is time for a change.

On the other hand, you have a Democrat nominee that has almost no experience or qualifications for the job he seeks, is probably the most liberal candidate yet to run for president and who's foreign policy credibility will put this nation at its greatest risk since the peak of the Cold War.  No wonder he doesn't believe it appropriate to call his positions to account.

Sensing now that he will be the Dem nominee, Barack Obama has begun campaigning more like a presidential candidate than a primary candidate.  In so doing, he is flailing, flipping, flapping and failing to make a coherent case for where he stands on the issues, especially foreign policy.

Barack Obama is counting on the media and his allies in his party to run cover for him in the election.  They will cry foul at every legitimate charge that is brought against the Senator's record, his public pronouncements and policies.  It will be a challenge for both the Republican Party and John McCain to stand fast in the face of such slanderous accusations and proclamations of "swiftboating" Obama, every time he comes under serious scrutiny.

One can only hope that the McCain campaign does in fact have a few arrows in its quiver and in fact does not "disarm" unilaterally in the face of a media blitz.  Barack Obama has proven on several occasions that he cannot take direct in-coming fire without resorting to an angry tirade and personal attack to change the subject.

If the McCain campaign takes aim at the real record and policy positions of Sen. Obama, they will find him a sitting duck.

Of Choice and Change

In just over six months, Americans will turn out to choose who will be the next President of the United States.  It appears more and more that our choice will be between John McCain and Barack Obama.  The party faithful will most likely support their party's nominee but this election year will almost surely find those who vote on issues, character, qualification and ability, torn as to the decision they should make.

For those who have not yet cast their decision in concrete, an article by Stanley Kurtz in the Weekly Standard, "Jeremiah Wrights Trumpet," is an article you should read.  Most agree, that something needs to "change" in how the bloated bureaucratic mess we call government functions.  Change can be a good thing if it is a change for the better.  Changing from a bad direction to one that is worse, is not the direction we seek.

I encourage all to read Mr. Kurtz's article, it may be a window into the kind of change we can expect from Sen. Barack Obama.

Food, Oil and the United Nations

The push for bio-fuels in the United States is primarily the result of the global warming hoax. One of the chief proponents of this hoax is the United Nations and its "Kyoto" type ruse to extort greater portions of U.S. wealth and drive down our economy.

It is ironic then, that the same entity that is so determined to ween America from carbon fuels is the same one now pointing the finger at our compliance, as a major reason for what appears to be a rising food crisis in third world nations.

At this point, bio-fuels are a zero sum game, it takes about the same amount of carbon fuel to produce a similar quantity of bio-fuel.

While we gain little from our acquiescence to the "green freaks," our oh-so-caring intentions have caused other food producing nations to cut back on exports, reducing supply to poor importing nations. We are already seeing the United Nations put the squeeze on the U.S. for more aid to starving nations. So, damned if we do and damned if we don't, nothing we do will result in commendation from this corrupt body.

In the mean time, we dutifully comply with whatever scam is perpetrated on us as we justify the moratorium on our own oil and natural gas, witness absolute fear mongering at nuclear energy and then wallow in guilt at the stories of the world's hungry. Is there no hope for this hoop snake in free roll down hill?

Where Do You Stand

There comes a time when you have to go public with your position on serious and politically charged issues.  If you believe the polls, a leap of faith if you ask me, mainstream America wants to see us leave Iraq in the now timeframe, win, lose or draw.  The question is rhetorical but the answer is critical.  That answer will define our future.  On the question of winning or losing in Iraq, where do you stand?

What, you may ask, makes this question key to the future of the West?  It depends on who is right in the debate over the true intent and the motivation of what is now referred to as “radical Islam.”  To all those who firmly believe that it is our interference in the Middle East that is the cause and fuel of Islamic violence, our departure from the region is deemed the action that will end the jihad that has been pronounced upon us.

To those, including myself, who perceive an enemy determined to achieve our subjugation, only the harshest retribution against such an ideology, inflamed in religious extremism and hatred, can bring a serious end to their plan for global domination.  There really is no middle ground to this issue and the position “You” take will determine the consequences.  Where do you stand?

The reason for asking this rather straightforward question is in response to a calculated effort, mostly coming from the left, to steep Iraq in failure and defeat.  The rationale for their position that we need to end military operations in Iraq is premised on poll results that indicate a majority of Americans now want to see an end to this war.

No doubt, all Americans would like to see this conflict finally end.  What is not known are the circumstances that most Americans will accept as satisfactory conditions in Iraq before removing our troops.  Where do you stand?

The polls that are sited as indicating that a majority of Americans want us out of Iraq, also indicate by a greater margin that they do not want us to lose.  The latter portion of this conflicting response is discarded from the mix, as politicians wax defeatist in their pronouncements for opposing the president’s plan to increase military strength, and his effort to finally bring sectarian violence in Iraq under control.  As this information is subjectively framed to qualify their argument, so too does it “frame the president.”

What seems to be a self-serving understanding among politicians and media types, to include both broadcast and print, is that they are the ones who “frame” the debate.  This is the essence of this discussion.  Who speaks for you, the media or do you speak for yourself?  Did you elect your representative to promote his or her personal agenda or to act in your behalf?  Where do you stand?

In spite of the rhetorical proclamations of what their vote meant and the circumstances they believed were valid for casting that vote, members of Congress did give the president the power to go to war in Iraq.  It is not acceptable for any Congressman to now abdicate that vote for political expediency or to hedge their chances for re-election.

For the second time in just over 30 years, elected representatives of the United States of America are embarking on legislation that will result in our defeat in a military conflict.  We are not losing the war in Iraq; it is the United States Congress that is declaring it so.  Congress has the power to declare war, they do not have the power to legislate whether we win or lose.

For Bob Dylan, the answer was “Blowin’ in the Wind;” our nation’s leaders need to be more firmly rooted.  These are the issues that now require our personal attention.  Where do you stand?

Calling it Like I See it

As the tone and content of some of the comments to my posts on race relations attest, as a result of the passion that has been generated in the Black Community for Barack Obama, it is clear, at least to me, that those passions could erupt negatively should Sen. Obama lose either the primary or the general election.

Al Sharpton has already declared that he will protest in Denver should things go in a manner not in keeping with his expectations and we all know just how peaceful Rev. Sharpton's "demonstrations" can be.  It cannot be said that Reverend Jeremiah Wright speaks for the majority of the Black community but the cheers and shouts of approval at his anti-white and often anti-American rants surely indicates he speaks for many.

Had it not been for Barack's candidacy and his participation in this church, the "sermon's" of Rev. Wright may have remained out of the public eye.  It is in the public eye now however and it raises the question as to the extent of this attitude in the Black comminity as a whole.
What is clear, is that the issue is not about Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama or the Black Church. What has been revealed as a result of Barack Obama's candidacy, is the extent to which it has widened the racial divide that exists in America. The degree to which the vote in the Democratic primaries is breaking along racial lines is a clear example.

Barack Obama is a media creation, the manifestation of an agenda driven political entity that believed they could sell a one year Junior Senator as a contender for the office of the President of the United States. It worked, Obama's ego bought their hype and so did mainstream America.  As Ye Sow, so shall ye reap is a popular phrase of late.  They, (the media) have sown the seeds that have rekindled the potential for a clash of the races.

As well as a time to now closely evaluate the ability, the character, the judgment, temperament and consequences of the person we choose to be the next President of the United States, it is also time to evaluate the role we allow a politically active media to play in affecting who and how we choose the person who will be the leader of the free world.

The faithful for Barack Obama will take umbrage at my words and my conclusions on this issue but so be it, I call it like I see it, not the way some would demand it be said.
