Barack Obama is like a sprinter trying to beat the record for the 100 Yard Dash. The problem is that he is running full speed to pass flawed and dangerous legislation with his shoelaces tied.
Barack Obama's first stumble was the "stimulus bill." He rushed this bill through Congress with lightning speed declaring disaster if it didn't get passed. Congress passed it and nothing happened except a growing debt and a shrinking dollar.
Then came "Cap and Trade." According to the president, this "mother of all tax schemes" with emphasis on the destruction of our current energy infrastructure would "create new green jobs." The people said no, Congress passed it anyway and the inevitable confrontation was set.
Now we have healthcare "reform." How do you reform "healthcare?" We have most of the world's best doctors, the most technologically advanced medical equipment, the availability to medications rationed or not prescribed in socialist nations and access to treatment unrivaled in the rest of the world. Why would we want to "reform" that? The answer is that the majority of Americans don't want it "reformed."
But the president keeps selling us his snake oil and bag of doggy doo-doo at a price we can't afford and with provisions that deteriorate not improve this nation's healthcare industry. And when he meets resistance, instead of listening to and modifying his plan to meet the nation's concerns, he applies bullying tactics to his dissenters and doubles down on disaster.
We see the president on a daily basis continuing to sell us a "clunker" and he looks foolish, arrogant, inflexible and autocratic for his efforts. To understand the problem Mr. President, begin by looking in the mirror.
